I am currently on the OMNI diet. The only gum and mints you can have is Spry...Wouldn't your product basically be the same as it has no sugar and is sweetened with Xylitol? I was in a store here in the Harbor looking for spry and the owner allowed me to taste your product. I am in love and would love to see you get a piece of omni diet as well...Just sayin...smile

The Grannies Monday, February 2, 2015 03:37 PM
While we don't think Ice Chips are listed as an "approved" food in the OMNI diets, we know many people have had great success using the candy. We have several diet coaches that recommend Ice Chips to their clients, and many people have found us on their own. We hope you enjoy them, and wish you the best on your OMNI journey!

Why not list the flavors and let consumers pick their own combinations? There are one or two flavors I don't like in all of your combo pack, or packs are missing one of my must haves.

The Grannies Monday, February 2, 2015 03:34 PM
We have had that same suggestion many times, and we now offer a custom tray, where you can pick your own 6 flavors! Just add a custom tray to your cart, and the website will prompt you to make your selections and create your mix. Thank you for asking!

I would like to know if any of your candies have any nuts or treenuts (like Cashew...) in them. My boys are peanut and treenut allergy and would like to just make sure that there's no nuts or any cross contamination of nuts in any of the flavored candies.

The Grannies Monday, February 2, 2015 03:25 PM
The Ice Chips are the only thing produced in our factory, so there is no danger of contamination. None of our ingredients contain any nut products, and we are very careful about sourcing our ingredients. Thank you for asking!

What exactly does immunity taste like?

The Grannies Monday, February 2, 2015 03:20 PM
We have actually recently renamed the Immunity to better reflect the flavor. Now, it is called Clove Plus. It tastes like old-fashioned clove candies, and as a bonus, it contains some herbs and essential oils that can function as an immune system booster. Thank you for asking, we hear this question a lot!

I have type 2 diabetes and when I bake I have been using fructose as my sweetener.
How can I use Xylitol in my baking?
Thank-you for taking my question

The Grannies Monday, February 2, 2015 03:16 PM
You can substitute xylitol for sugar with a 1:1 ratio. We have heard from several folks that they cut back the amount of xylitol a bit, depending on personal tastes (3/4 cup of xylitol in place of 1 cup of sugar seems to be a good amount). It cooks very well and still tastes great! Thank you for asking!

What benefits have you gotten making the Shark tank deal? 40% seems a fairly sizable chunk of the business to sell for 1/4 annual sales.

It seems that you would have gotten a bump in sales / visibility just being on the show. What do your partners bring to the the table beyond that initial exposure? How much bigger do you think your business will be after partnering?

BTW, I'm just a fan of the show. Was also at the dentist yesterday, and was reminded of your product and appearance on Shark Tank...and re watched the episode.

Frank:

Thank you for your inquiry and your interest in Ice Chips Candy.

In regards to the results of our appearance on Shark Tank much of that information is sensitive, however I can tell you that we were very pleased with the high level of respect and courtesy that all the personnel at Sony as well as the Sharks themselves, showed to both of us during the taping of our episode.

Also, both Barbara and Mark were wonderful and gracious to work with.

Yes we have experienced a substantial increase in sales following the airing of our episode on ABC and we expect that increase to continue for quite some time.

We can truly say that our experience with Shark Tank has been very positive and we are please that we were able to be part of their 2012/2013 Season.

Thank you again for your inquiry.

Hi, I see your xylitol is made from birch but was wondering if any of your flavors or other ingredients contain corn. Corn is in just about everything. It has 200 different names which makes it extremely difficult to find food or candy. Thanks.

Bev and Charlotte Monday, February 2, 2015 03:10 PM
We are very careful about sourcing our products to ensure that there is no corn in anything. We can say with confidence that all of our flavors and products are corn-free!
